Chicago Dancing Festival Tickets Released July 16, 17 and 18

The Chicago Dancing Festival is a REALLY good idea.

Concerts are free, the venues are top notch, and so is the dancing.

If you can get tickets.

Each venue begins releasing its stash next week for the festival August 20-24 in a staggered format. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at noon is your chance to get in on each event. Here’s a quick and handy guide to help you grab a seat or two to each and every show!

Concert Date: Tuesday, August 20
Venue: The Harris Theater for Music and Dance
Ticket release date: Tuesday, July 16 at noon
How to get them: In person at the Harris Theater Box Office, 205 E. Randolph Drive or by calling (312) 334-7777.  Limit two (2) tickets per order.

Concert Date: Thursday, August 22
Venue: Auditorium Theatre
Ticket release date: Wednesday, July 17 at noon
How to get them: In person at the Auditorium Theatre Box Office, 50 E. Congress Parkway, online at www.ticketmaster.com/auditorium or by calling (800) 982-ARTS.  Not available at Ticketmaster Outlets.  Limit two (2) tickets per order.

Concert Date: Friday, August 23
Venue: Museum of Contemporary Art
Ticket release date: Thursday, July 18 at noon
How to get them: In person at the MCA Stage Box Office, 220 E. Chicago Avenue or by calling (312) 397-4010.  Limit two (2) tickets per order.

She has co-facilitated critical dance writing intensives in Chicago and Durban, South Africa, and participated in writing residencies at the National Center for Choreography, Bates Dance Festival and JOMBA! Contemporary Dance Experience. Lauren teaches dance history and kinesiology for dancers, with part-time appointments at Loyola University Chicago and Illinois Wesleyan University.
