April is Chicago Dance Month!

145

In spite of an exciting month ahead, things might be a little quieter around here.

I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be contributing to SeeChicagoDance.com to help cover the wealth of Chicago dance events happening in April.

Why April??

Why not!  I mean, let’s face it: on any given weekend you could go see 2-8 different dance performances.  But April is a particularly popular month in Chicago for the smaller companies and independent choreographers to show new work.  Audience Architects created the idea of Chicago Dance Month to celebrate these artists and bring attention to the vibrant community here in our city.

I’m super excited to be a part of it.

Because of my commitments for SCD, however, my weekly(ish) posts here might drop off to every other weekly(ish) posts.  Maybe.  Or maybe I’ll squeeze water out of a stone and find the time to do both.  Who knows, but either way I’ll be back in full force this May.

Consider yourself warned.

In the meantime, check out the many, many offerings at the dance buffet in Chicago over the next four weeks, and go see some dance!

BTW:

I could go on and on about pricing strategies for dance performances and how we as a community consistently undervalue ourselves…

…but I’m not going to do that now.

Instead, take a moment to eat up this link and get yourself a Hot Deal on tickets for dance events big and small.
